O equipe 96 (sub 15) do PROJAE foi eliminada na tarde de ontem pelo Atlético Mineiro em partida válida pelas quartas-de-final da Gazetinha Nacional 2011. Mas a equipe mineira teve trabalho para conquistar a vaga na semifinal. O PROJAE abriu o marcador com Dudu que acertou um chute de cinema no ângulo direito do goleiro atleticano. Nos minutos seguintes, o Galo pressionou ainda mais forte o PROJAE e num contra-ataque veloz, o o Atletico cedeu um escanteio. Com uma boa cobrança de Yuri, Dudu acertou o travessão, assustando o Galo Mineiro.
Porém, quando todos já acreditavam que o primeiro tempo terminaria com a vantagem do PROJAE, o Atlético empatou aos 23 minutos após cobrança de falta, a bola viajou para dentro de nossa área, Netto não saiu e o zagueiro Jhonatan, ao tentar tirar o perigo, acabou cabeceando contra nosso próprio gol. Netto ainda tentou defender mas não conseguiu e o primeiro tempo terminou em 1 X 1.
Na etapa final, o Atlético seguiu pressionando até que aos 15 minutos o rápido atacante da equipe mineira recebeu a bola dentro de nossa área e girou rápido, batendo forte para marcar o segundo gol do Atlético.
O PROJAE ainda lutou para tentar empatar a partida, mas a condição física falou mais alto e nossa marcação não conseguiu acompanhar a boa movimentação dos atleticanos que acabaram por marcar o terceiro gol, pondo fim ao sonho do PROJAE de estar entre os semifinalistas do torneio.
Porém, após quase uma semana de competição, ficou um saldo extremamente positivo. Novamente os reforços que vieram do interior do Estado foram peça fundamental juntamente com os atletas do PROJAE que marcaram de maneira extremamente positiva sua participação na Gazetinha Nacional em Fundão, da mesma forma que assim o fizeram ano passado em Ibiraçu.
Nossos atletas novamente foram referência dentro e fora de campo o que nos enche de orgulho pelo trabalho desenvolvido.
Muito obrigado aos amigos: Baiano, de Alfredo Chaves, Nelsinho e Bartô, de São Mateus, por terem cedido seus atletas para participarem conosco da Nacional.
Apesar de termos contado com 19 atletas de excelente nível técnico, uma ausência nos incomodou bastante: a de Daniel, atacante que mora na cidade de Boa Esperança, noroeste do Espírito Santo. Carinhosamente apelidado por Baianinho, Daniel escreveu sua história no PROJAE quando esteve conosco na edição 2010 da Gazetinha Nacional. Infelizmente ele não pôde estar conosco porque se contundiu seriamente quando disputava as finais-gerais da Gazetinha Estadual em Domingos Martins. Coincidentemente, em nossa delegação desse ano, não tivemos 20 atletas, mas sim 19, como se a vaga de Daniel estivesse guardada. Agora vai um recado de todo o PROJAE pra você, Baianinho: Você sempre terá lugar em nossas equipes e nossas portas estarão sempre abertas para você, conte sempre conosco.
